Who we are

What we collect
When you book we collect your name, email address, phone number, the number of guests, your arrival and departure dates, and any requests or notes you send us. Payment card details are entered directly into Stripe's systems and are never seen or stored by us.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To take and manage your booking, send your confirmation and send your door entry code before arrival — because this is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To keep accounting and tax records — because we have a legal obligation to.
- To answer your questions and deal with any problems during your stay — because we have a legitimate interest in running the hotel properly.
- To send you marketing emails — only if you have asked us to, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
Smoobu GmbH, which provides our booking and property management system; Stripe, which processes your payment; and Booking.com, where your booking was made through them. We share your information with these companies only so far as they need it to provide their service. We do not sell your data to anyone.
International transfers
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards required by UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and payment records for 6 years, which is the period required for accounting and tax purposes. Marketing consents are kept until you withdraw them.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask for it in a portable form. Email info@bricklanehotel.com and we will respond within one month.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function. Our booking engine, provided by Smoobu, sets cookies needed to process your booking. The map on our contact page is provided by OpenStreetMap.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
