The location does most of the work

Brick Lane is known for its curry houses, its bagel shops, its vintage markets and its street art, and all of it is on the doorstep. Spitalfields Market is a few minutes away, Shoreditch a little further, and the City begins at the end of the road.

Aldgate East station is around four minutes on foot and Liverpool Street about ten, so most of London is within half an hour — and Liverpool Street puts the Elizabeth line and the Stansted Express within easy reach.
